3D Printing Vascular Prosthetics

Researchers from Saga University in Japan have just released the results of a study investigating the feasibility of 3D printing vascular prostheses. A member of the team developed a 3D bio-printer which was used to assemble multicellular spheroids into structures that had been designed on a computer. The test production was a 3D structure built with 500 of these MCSs that was stable even after the supporting needle array was removed.
