Woman Uses 3Doodler Pen to Print an Exoskeleton for Her Broken Hand

London-based artist and designer Maxine Green broke her hand several months ago, and following the removal of her initial plaster cast was given a wrist support that was more appropriate for an injured wrist than the side of her hand. In order to keep her healing bone stable but not immobile, she looked to her environment for something to help... and came across her 3Doodler 3D printing pen, which she'd never quite found a practical use for. She designed and printed up an "exoskeleton" in ABS and was able to create a customized piece, based on designs she saw in nature, to help her hand heal.
