Mediated Matter -- Precise 3D Printing With Glass

As materials innovations continue in the 3D printing arena, glass is starting to emerge as a major player in the field. A new run led by Mediated Matter and teams out of MIT have published their glass 3D printing findings in a new paper in the September 2015 issue of 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing. Mediated Matter, founded and directed by artist Neri Oxman, worked with MIT's Department of Mechanical Engineering, Wyss Institute and MIT's Glass Lab toward the goal of the advanced precise glass 3D printing capabilities in a project called G3DPP.
