StarTrek Replicator 3D Printing Challenge Winners Visit NYC & MakerBot

As the Star Trek Replicator Challenge concluded, winners Kyle Corrette and Sreyash Sola, creators of the 3D printed Melanized Fungarium and the Astro Mini Farm, were treated to a trip to New York, touring the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum, as well as MakerBot’s headquarters in Brooklyn. At MakerBot, they were able to meet with the teams in all departments of the company, as well as having sitdowns with both CEO Jonathan Jaglom and Mechanical Engineer Michael Pappas. They had also already received as other prizes, a MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer for their schools and a PancakeBot pancake printer for their homes.
