Organovo Partners With Uniquest To Patent 3D printable Kidney Tissue & More

Organovo and Uniquest have teamed up regarding the development of kidney tissue and a plan to patent kidney cells from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Working with Professor Melissa Little and her team at Uniquest, Organovo will be responsible not only for producing their own and separate famed bioprinting technology to separately develop a ‘kidney proximal tubule tissue’ but also will work with the company in developing intellectual property in regards to commercial applications for the kidney tissue.
