Looking for a cooling mechanism for my Replicator clone!

I'm looking for a better (and more effective) method of cooling my prints on my Powerspec 3D Pro.

I bought a 12v fan, thinking it would be powerful enough to power this. I realized that there are 24v fans too, but I am unsure if those are powerful enough for cooling prints. I am already set for a power supply; I use unneeded AC-DC laptop chargers to power my projects.

I might consider connecting a fan to my board if that is a better solution, so please, tell me what works for you Replicator (and clones) owners! Thanks in advance.

Yep, PLA. Did you use a 24v fan, and did you install it to your board? If so, is it always active?

Yep 24v 40mm fan as the board does not have any 12 v connectors.

I've wired up two now - both take the feed from the power from the motherboard's own cooling fan.
One I did with wire stripped from an old pc case and one with the wires wire from a network cable. Networking cable tends to have 8 strands of solid copper wire.

Run the wire round the case and up the bundled wire cable. Works a treat.
Mine are configured to be on all the time that the printer is on as I find it helps with all materials. But you could easily fit an on/off switch between fan wires and the power wires. I'm currently thinking about making one - when i find a proper conductive filament :-)
