Creating a bronze-Like finish for outdoor 3D printed plaque

Does anyone know how I could paint a 3D printed plaque so that it looks like its bronze? It will need to hold up outside with the desert sun beating on it. (What types of filaments are likely to hold up best when it's 120 degrees outside and the sun is totally baking the printed object?) I'm trying to do the kind of plaque that you see on a pillar at the entrance to a building - bronze with 3D letters that stand out, etc. An actual bronze plaque is really expensive!
