Marines Corps Experiment with Mobile 3D Printing Lab

The United States Marines Corps continues to show both their interest and dedication to 3D printing, outlining plans for their 3D printing unit, X-FAB. The facility is self-sustained and allows for maintenance battalions to create on-demand parts out in the field. Currently, X-FAB is experimental, with different teams evaluating and offering feedback on the facility. The project is being funded by the Department of Defense, and is expected to continue.
