does seem a bit pointless when i can get free next day delivery from amazon.

And if you know you regularly use 2 rolls a month - how hard is it to order 2 rolls a month from your supplier ?

I can see how it would be good from the suppliers point of view. But from the end users - given how good most filament and delivery services are these days - not so much.
