I find it very useful to me since I plan to 3D print many prints which will be used for building sand casting molds which I will then cast Aluminum into for the final part. Once I have the first correctly casted aluminum part I will not need the plastic copy I printed. Many I may keep for display or such for the 3D printed part, but many will be disposed of. Being these will often be large parts, perhaps several parts sembled into one part, that is a ton of plastic I could reuse!
Also no way to recycle it here so toss it in the dump if not kept for some reason. I'd rather put it to use than toss it!

This is really useful is you want to recycle all the messed up models that you have made could save a lot of money.

My favorite 3d printing guide right now is https://learn.adafruit.com/printrbot...truder-upgrade. Everyone should print one of these out regardless of whether you're using flexible filaments. This upgrade has made my prints much more smooth!
