Jenny Wu's 3D Printed Jewelry

Accomplished architect Jenny Wu has been collaborating with Stratasys 3D Printing in creating her new line of jewelry, LACE, which will be available autumn 2014. The two primary pieces in the line are the Tangens necklace and the Papilio ring. The Tangens necklace is created with the Stratasys Fortus 400mc Production System, using Stratasys FDM technology, and will be available in black, white, and translucent. Wu is also working with Solidscape®, a Stratasys subsidiary, in producing the silver Papilio ring, the first item being commercially sold from the LACE. It is designed to evoke the fluttering movement of butterfly wings, and includes a beautifully custom wooden jewelry box. Jenny Wu’s LACE collection of 3D printed wearable designs keeps growing. On May 15^th she will be launching her new line featuring pieces 3D printed with steel powder and then metal plated. From rings to earrings and necklaces, the 3D printed designs are available in grey steel, stainless steel, and rose gold. Pre-orders for the 3D printed jewelry begins May 15, with delivery slated to begin June 1.
