General Electric Using Electron Gun EBM to Print 10 Times Faster then Laser Sintering

General Electric is at it again. Today the company revealed that they are using a breakthrough new process to 3D print turbine blades for a variety of their jet engines. The process uses an 3kw electron gun and electron beam melting technology to fabricate parts with ten times the power of laser sintering. In doing so, they can build parts much faster.
