This is the Doodle3D tower. It was made for a children's movie festival (Cinekid) in the Netherlands. The printers are stacked at an angle, and apparently still print. I would think that they wouldn't print correctly because of the angle they are at. They used paper sheets and glued them with a glue stick onto the platform.

Why would you think that they wouldn't print at an angle?
As long as your axes are perpendicular (for an X/Y/Z system), the printer should work in any orientation that the motors are strong enough for (unless part of it floats - like the Z). No part of the extrusion depends on gravity except possibly how your spools are mounted.
Hmm, that's interesting. I just was always under the assumption that the printout would sort of be affected by gravity. On second thought I guess you are right though.
