Navy Officials Discuss Value of 3D Printing on Part Production & Other Projects

During the recently held Department of the Navy Additive Manufacturing Showcase, Navy officials discussed the benefits that on-demand 3D printing would have on part production. The exhibition was also filled with 3D printed projects that directly reflected the immense value 3D printing now has to the Navy, such as the 3D printed Global Valve Training Aid, a training system for which 3D printing technology helped reduce production costs from $50,000 to $500.
