2016 3D Printer Sales to Be Greater in China Than US

The rise of 3D printing in China has been meteoric in the last two years. The growth rate of 3D printer sales rose by 120% from 2014 to 2015, and the country is expected to surpass the United States in printer sales in 2016. The rapid growth is due largely to the government's push for 3D printers in schools, as well as the "Made in China 2025" initiative aimed at driving technology and innovation in the country's industry.
