R.T. Custer and Tyler Wolfe are both fans of watches, so when they discovered that many owners of antique pocket watches were scrapping their watches for the gold and silver casings, discarding the intricate inner workings, the idea for Vortic Watch Company was born. Custer and Wolfe began salvaging the inner mechanisms of old pocket watches, restoring them, and combining them with 3D printed components to create wristwatches that meld old and new.
