Controlling Reactive Matter Via 3D Printing

Through the creation of 3D reactive material architectures (RMAs), researchers at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory have been looking into how to control the performance of reactive materials that can be unpredictable, but have so much potential in the manufacturing of superior products like air bags and items that offer quick releases. 3D printing is being used to control the items themselves in makin the architectures and them applying them to a surface with sufficient depth.
