3D Printing Aids in Removal of Kidney Tumor in Chinese Woman

In China, a woman has had a successful surgery to remove a large tumor that had grown in one of her kidneys. Typical surgeries for this type of tumor would have involved the complete removal of the kidney in order to stay away from potential hazardous risks. Because the tumor was so close to the renal hilum, doctors had to use a 3D printed medical model to assist in the surgery.
