KSU Students 3D Printing Prosthetic Skins

A group of architecture and design students at Kansas State University have taken on a project to design 3D printed prosthetic “skins” which can be attached to existing prostheses, and the covers will be given to six students at the school. The skins will be connected to existing prosthetic limbs after being printed in flexible resin. While existing covers for prosthesis may cost around $1,000 each, the students say they believer they can produce all six for that price.
