3D Printing Stories We Missed - May 30th

This week's 3D printing news covers great designs and new hardware. Consider ic! berlin's sunglass line, Maurizio Casella's Harley model, Polyhelo's safer drone, and ALPA's customized camera lens shades for great design work showing how 3D printing grows more sophisticated in design details and customization. The U.N. is paying attention to 3D printing also; China's Anyprint 3D was recently visited by 90 UNESCO education ministers. On the hardware side, Glowforge, a 3D laser cutter backed by former MakerBot CEOs, is due out soon. There's also a Kickstarter campaign being prepared by PhotonFluid for its Kast 3D printer. Finally, PyroGenesis started shipping the first of ten 3D metal printing production systems to a customer in Asia.
