Winners Announced for 2015 ColorFabb Time-Lapse Contest
We’ve all waited eagerly to hear who the lucky winners will be in the ColorFabb 2015 Time-Lapse Contest, as the team of judges has worked diligently in trying to decide who would take the enviable first, second, and third places, shortly after releasing the name of twelve finalists. It’s easy to see why AKLIH Design Studio won first place, and it’s fascinating to watch their thought and design process come to fruition in ‘Reuse it!” Next, there’s quite a show by Labern who has three Ultimaker 2 printers in motion at once, producing some intricate parts for a replica of a cannon. For third prize, Colton Anderson made ‘What is 3D Printing,’ offering up the secrets to the technology, and obviously what he sees as inspiring—all as a beautiful design for a flower is fabricated. Each contestant won a value pack of varying size, with the first place winner looking forward to a year-long supply of the colorFabb filaments of their choice. Check them out at
