Aussie Scientists Design 3D Printed Optics from Inspiration of Butterflies

Aussie scientists have made some good headway for improving the areas of optics and photonics further after some recent study of the butterfly—and namely, Callophrys Rub—or the Green Hairstreak. This little insect has allowed them to make breakthroughs for high resolution, mechanically strong nanostructures that actually exceed the perfection of the butterfly in relevance to their own requirements for industry.
