3D printing and medicine. They seem to be growing ever so close together. The University of Verona Hospital is now using 3D printed bone replicas to aid in surgery. When there is a fractured bone that needs to be operated on, Surgeons use a Stratasys 3D Printer to print out an exact replica. They then perform surgery on these replicas to make sure they get it right. They also use the replicas to explain the surgery to their patients.
