Students 3D Print a Locker Handle to Help Their Disabled Classmate

In recent years the media has been full of stories about how US students are lagging behind in their science and technology education when compared to students in other countries around the world. But with the wider adoption of 3D printing education and the purchase of 3D printers for schools across the nation, we may be regaining our footing when it comes to STEM studies. One example? A pair of New Jersey high school students, Justin Hermann and Robert Borgognoni, used their interest and training in 3D printing to help out a fellow student whose physical challenges prevented her from easily opening her hallway locker.
