3D Printing Microfluidic Devices for Chip Technology

Scientists from Wageningen University, the Netherlands and the University of Castile-La Mancha, Spain recently discovered a better way to 3D print with PDMS, in a new process called Embedded SCAffold RemovinG Open Technology--or ESCARGOT. The method is still in the initial stages but with the use of ABS 3D printing filament, it offers a way to create intricate microfluidic devices more easily and with much greater versatility.
