3D Printed Electronics to Get Boost from Semiconductor Solder

Dmitri Talapin, a chemistry professor at the University of Chicago, works on developing cutting edge materials for use in electronics and medical processes. Now Talapin and a team of researchers have developed a chemical 'solder' capable of joining semiconductor parts together without affecting their electrical properties. The breakthrough means semiconductors might one day be cheap and easier to fabricate through 3D printing and additive manufacturing methods.
