3D Model Helps in Reconstructive Face Surgery

Jon Fenton fell four stories and shattered his face last year. It was one of the most devastating facial injuries surgeons had ever seen. They turned to 3D printing in order to guide them in a reconstructive surgery of Jon's face.

They used the 3D model to further understand just what needed to be done to put Jon's face back together after the fall. After a 14 hour surgery, things turned out very well. This is Jon Post surgery:
