Britain to Invest Heavily in Additive Manufacturing of Aerospace Parts

The British Government today earmarked £49 in funding towards the research of 3D printed aerospace structures. The funding will be used by GKN Aerospace and their team to figure out methods of 3D printing metallic structural components for aircraft, which are lightweight and strong.
