Sandia National Laboratories Doing Research Involving 3D Printed Turbine Rotor Blade

Sandia National Laboratories, a US Department of Energy contractor, is carrying out critical research into wind energy at their Scaled Wind Farm Technology (SWiFT) facility in Lubbock, Texas. Part of that research involves a newly designed rotor blade, which will be 3D printed and implemented in a series of tests that will help determine if the problems caused by wind turbines' wakes interfering with each other can be solved.
