Innervision's Super Strong 3D Printed Bike

Matt Clark has created an impressive 3D printed bicycle frame that will provide a lightweight yet strong finished product -- and he plans to bring it to market this year. The Innervision bicycle will be 3D printed using fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene (hopefully recycled materials), and likely created by 3D Systems. The Innerframe, optimized using SolidWorks, will improve upon the carbon fiber frame filled with foam construction that is used now. While the existing prototype weighs just around 10.5 lbs, the 3D printed version will weigh even less, creating a lightweight bicycle that can enhance performance. While no prices are known yet, Clark intends to have the Innerversion on the market by year's end. The prototype weighs 10.5lbs built, or is that 10.5lbs frame+fork only? Any info on what printer is being used? I wonder if the need to print sub-assemblies dictated design decisions like the elbow in the chainstays, which seems like both extra material and a potential point of failure (versus the straight stays on a steel or carbon frame).
