Nick Lee Designs 3D Printed Smartphone Case, Runs Android Marshmallow

Tendigi partner and CTO Nick Lee designed and built a 3D printed smartphone case that lets him run Android Marshmallow on his iPhone 6 Plus. He took advantage of the open source nature of the Android OS and built an app that would allow the iPhone to run using Android’s latest version, 6.0.1. He combined a battery pack with an Android HiKey development board, and designed a 3D printable case to hold all of the new hardware. The case was designed in Sketchup, and then 3D printed on a freshly purchased da Vinci 2.0 Duo 3D printer from XYZprinting.
