Art Nouveau Bullring Transformed into Drone Hub

When La Monumental was inaugurated in 1914, it was the only Art Nouveau bull ring in the world. The beautiful structure has since struggled to find its place in a place that, beginning in 2012, has outlawed bullfighting. Architecture student Frederick Ajjoub of the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia decided to address the possible future uses of the historic structure as his Master's project. He decided to recreate the interior of the space to act as a drone hub that would not only service vendors and logistics, but possibly bring back a touch of the original excitement in the form of racing or drone fights.
